I bought another one of these treat balls for Mishka. She absolutely loves it and it occupies her for quite a while in the evenings. Has anyone else tried this type of ball with their doggie pal?

Is this ball big? Are there more sizes of it? Homer for sure would love to have a ball like this but I'm looking for something not so big.

After seeing this one it may be a good option with no moving parts.
The one I bought has a sliding door and the idea of this is to limit the treat from being dispensed easily.

The one I bought from an eBay sight came in two sizes. The small was 3.5" diameter and the large one was 5". Mishka has the 5" which is about the right size for her.

I recommend any variety of this activity ball as your dog will have a toy regardless of treats that it miraculously dispenses at times. While she tries to get the treats out she is also getting some exercise and entertaining herself. When its finally emptied of treats she enjoys playing soccer with us and we have some great laughs.:D

We don't have a treat ball, but we do have one of those Kong toys that is shaped in a rather rude and amusing way.

Look at that, and tell me it doesn't look wrong? ;)

Not only that, but there is this company in the UK that makes a toy called safestix. They look even more wrong!

They're both really brilliant products, but their designs leave a lot to answer for!

Those toys certainly look like non-doggy amusements but how do our chums play with safestix. Are they eaten? They look as if they could be ripped apart?

Jessi got it. They're just to be played with as dogs would a stick that they've found, or been given. They're made out of material that doesn't come apart, and they're very resistant to breaking. It would be very pointless making something like that if the dogs were able to chew through them, so they're pretty much indestructible. I'm sure there's a dog/dogs somewhere that might break one some day, but I don't think it's happened yet ;)

What a lovely picture of the two dogs. I can see very much now what they are intended for. :)
It's quite amazing what tough materials they come up with these days.
If I had a second dog I wouldn't hesitate purchasing one. Mishka seems happy with her ball and we had quite a game with it last night.:)

They're VERY good for doing the whole tug of war thing, either between two dogs, or a person and a dog. I haven't bought one yet, but I do want to. It's just I'm really quite frugal with stuff, and they have lots of toys already, and so I'm more concerned with making sure they have enough food and healthcare. I'm cautious like that.
