This is such a wonderful story. As someone who has had a disabled dog (an amputee), I know how inspirational they can be. It's very hard not to feel motivated when you see your 3 legged dog get out of bed excited to have breakfast in the morning.

At the Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation in Dallas, TX, they have introduced disabled dogs as part of their program to motivate patients. There are 90 dogs in the program. They come to the center once a week to visit patients who are wheelchair bound for a variety of reason.

I think this must be hugely successful. I remember how strangers would stop to pet Sierra and give her hugs. You can't help but be inspired by a dog with a disability that does not act as if anything is wrong.

One time, when I visited the veterinarian we saw this really big doggy wheel chair. I asked myself who was luckier. The dog who's love by his owner for providing him a wheel chair so he can still function as normal as possible or the owners of the dog who will be inspired daily by seeing how the dog can still live normally and happily even with such physical disabilities.

It's a beautiful story and so touching. I'm always so sad when I see disabled dogs, but I also full of admiration for their strength and steadfastness. It's really inspiring that they can live almost like healthy dogs. Thank you for sharing this:) .
