When you arrive home, does he or she respond as does this dog? Granted this young man has arrived home from deployment, so these 2 had not seen each other in some time - the love of our furry families

Lol, ours doesn't get quite that excited.

My dad's dogs jump up and down like crazy like that, though, and he can only be gone for a few minutes in order for them to get that hyped up.

It depends on who is coming home:p . If it's my father, Homer jumps like crazy and barks. He is so excited:D
When it's me, he just runs to greet me, waging his tail and wanting me to stroke him.

My dog does. But I've also read from trainers that you shouldn't let your dog jump all over you, since an alpha never allows this from pack members. I have a hard time saying no though lol.

Really?:( It would be heartbreaking to make him stop jumping. I just couldn't do this. I love watching him when he is so happy. I guess he'll never consider me a pack leader. Oh, well:p
