Dog rescues friends trapped in canoe

I saw this article on Yahoo and this video shows a black lab rescuing his friends. Apparently they went adrift in the canoe and the black lab jumped in and pulled them to safety. What a brave dog!

 

This is amazing! This black lab must be very smart - and brave indeed. He rally saved them. It's a very interesting video, thank you for sharing!

 

What a great video! I know that dogs can be very smart, and watching this one proves how smart they can be. How great was it that this dog knew that not only were his friends in trouble, but exactly what to do to save them. Great video, thank you for sharing it.

 

I wonder how they got stuck out there in the first place. I'm under the impression they were placed out there to try and get him to go "rescue" them. That was very cool (and smart!) of the dog to do that. I'm glad they weren't in any severe danger.

 

Here's something somewhat relevant to that story. I just love how some dogs have that instinct to save others.

I've heard this too. It does seem like they were put out there to be rescued by the dog. I don't know if this is true or not though.

When I first saw the Dog Saves Friend in Canoe video on TV the other night my first thought was it was a set up. I'm glad I'm not the only one too think this?
