Speaking of dog nutrition, do you give your dog vitamins? Or what other dog supplements do you give them to keep them healthy, far from sickness and strong?

We do not give our dogs any supplements/vitamins. We just make sure we are giving them healthy or nutritious foods and well protected from dangers. And given enough care and love. ;)

I haven't thought about giving supplements of any kind to my dogs. Mainly because I prefer to give them their dietary needs through balanced diets.

Some years ago, I tried giving my pup vitamin syrup. He liked the taste but I don’t see how it helped him. Nothing’s added to his weight or height or stamina and it didn’t prevent him from getting sick. So I never waste time and money giving vitamins to my next pups or dogs. They grow well without it anyway.

I used to give my dogs vitamins. It was according to the vet's instructions because they were still puppies back then and exposure to different environments and stress makers was inevitable. What I loved about the vitamins I was giving them was when they had wounds, it healed faster. Their fur was also softer and shinier.

Vitamins isn't really necessary as long as we feed our pets well and give them proper exercise. However, some dogs especially those who have hypersensitive allergic skin reactions or those who are in the process of recovery from an ailment are still being recommended to take one.

We don't now but we used to. It usually just was part of a special treat we'd buy and not in pill form or anything. Now I make his food fresh and know I'm getting all the nutrients he needs into it, so I don't bother with vitamins at all.

I think that's the way to go. Provide the dog with what it needs in the way of nutrients through natural means. I have nothing against pills. It's just that I prefer the natural way as far as possible.
