What kind of pet did you probably have?

I was just wondering what kind of pet you may have had given no dogs existed in your life?

Before I had a dog, I had goldfishes and a turtle. We lived in an apartment and having a dog wasn't a good thing. Fortunately, when we got our own place, my mom allowed me to get a dog for my own.

I think I would get a snake, or a Bearded Dragon. I'm sure they won't be as fun as a dog, but they also require less maintenance. I may consider a cat as well.

I'd probably adopt a hedgehog, actually. They're precious little guys, but having dogs definitely poses the question, "would they try to eat him?" My dogs aren't at all viscous, but a tiny little critter running around the house? They'd all go bananas! I couldn't imagine not having my dogs, though.

    Who knows?

I have had all sorts of animals over the years. None of my pets have ever been ones I intentionally sought out. They sort of find us in some way or another instead.

I can't think of any that would interest me now. I did have a cat when growing up and gold fish later but they don't interest me whatsoever now. I would be a lonely none pet owner.

I have a cat now and I used to have fishes too.
I might also like to have a turtle. ;)

I'd love to have a sweet, little kitten! I love cats so much, they're beautiful and fascinating creatures. My Homer hates them so I can only dream of having one:p

I can't imagine not having a dog. I remember one time where we didn't have a dog for about a month and it seem so odd to me as if something were missing from the family unit. At one time we also had hamsters along with our dogs. The reason we stopped having hamsters for pets had nothing to do with the dogs but the fact that hamsters have a very short life span, they only live about two years at the most. So, we eventually stopped acquiring them.

I also like cats, I find them to be sweet animals. But unfortunately I live with brothers who take after their father who couldn't stand cats. So, I probably will never have a cat as long as I live with them. There are stray cats who roam our neighborhood and get into our yard, so do they count.

I'd have a cat. I've had a cat in the past, but my dogs now are just so hyperactive and rough house so much that it wouldn't be safe for a cat now.
