What are little things that show you that your dog loves you?:D Sometimes it feels like my Homer loved only the food that he gets from me and his cones - but this is not true. I feel really loved when I'm coming back home and he is there, wagging his tail, ready to great me, almost jumping from happiness because he missed me so much:)
How your dog shows you that he loves you?
(I've heard that cats bring dead mices to their owners as a sign of affection:eek: )

I think it's when he comes to sleep next to my bed, even when I know he's hungry or needs to go outside. To a certain extent, I know he's just waiting and it's for his own selfish desires.... but at the same time, he could easily bark and wake me up. Instead, he curls up and waits, even when I sleep in. That's love!

Mishka has a habit of coming to me and will sit close when I put on my socks and when I light the fire.In fact she leans on me. After reading these posts perhaps it is a love thing. As soon as I stand up she is back to normal. They are the only times she does it. I like it and have never complained. I find it's like some sort of bonding.

My oldest dog would head but me every morning to wake me up. Nothing like waking up to a big dog snout in your face and two crossed eyes staring you down.

That's so sweet. That's definitely some kind of love in action though you probably could do without the head-butting.

It's the way their ears drop and relax when they see me, and the massive tail wagging and sneezing/snuffling that goes with it. I don't know WHY they sneeze when they're excited, but they do. It's also the way they'll put their head on my leg, or come up and ask for a cuddle by resting their chin somewhere on me. It's the way they lay on their backs and wriggle on the floor for a belly rub, or how they'll come and snuggle on the sofa, and very gently lick my arm to let me know they're looking after me. Sometimes I get kisses from them both, and a paw rested on me to keep me close. They both snuggle into me when I'm ill, and they've always, always got time for love and affection.

I read somewhere it's one of the ways they communicate to play. When they are all quiet, sneeze yourself, see if they get all excited. :)

I've sneezed a couple of times today and they didn't move an inch LOL

They both sneeze and wag their tails until it looks like they'll wag off. Having just googling the whole sneeze when excited thing, apparently they also do it when they're stressed. It's usually coupled with excessive liplicking, and drooling.

They jump on me and try to kiss me on the face. Not so bad when Buddy tried to do it because he's small enough that I can handle his weight. But when Oso tries to do it I feel like I'm being weighed down by a 75 pound weight. But at the same token I know this is his way of showing me how much he loves me, so I can't help but laugh about it while he's doing it.
