I am downright abhorred by the act this man is found guilty of doing. What in the world was the dog's fault that it deserved to die like that?

According to the investigation, text messages, emails and voice mails indicated that the man did kill the dog.

    OH HELL NO.
This guy deserves the same penalties he'd get if it were a child. I hate people who are cruel to animals, that's one thing I can't stand.

This is awful. A normal person wouldn't be able to hurt a dog. It's so extremely cruel. I simply have no words. He should rot in jail:(

Unfortunately, the only case they are able to charge him with is animal cruelty which seems unjust because this type of people are innately violent and can possibly do it to people who are voiceless or not capable of defending themselves.

    It's truly awful.

So, what will this man get a few years because its only animal cruelty? This is horrible, and should be treated like first degree murder in my opinion. This man is obviously not in the right frame of mind to do something so horrendous to an innocent defenseless animal.

My knowledge about the law in foreign countries is very limited so I wasn't sure if animal cruelty is considered a big crime there... a few years is definitely not nearly enough:( He deserves a way more severe punishment:(

Where are you from Claudine? Here in my country, which is the Philippines, this is how the law goes:

Meaning: people who are proven guilty in committing a crime of animal cruelty will be charged with a fine of 1,000 to 5,000 php (roughly $25 to $120) or imprisoned for a duration of 6 months to 2 years.

I'm from Poland. Here the maximum punishment is 3 years of prison and 100 000 zł. I think it should be more. Way more.

In Thailand, the idea of justice is much simpler. If someone does that in Thailand, there is a very good chance that he won't be reported to the police. More likely, someone will have to fish him out of the river. With his throat slit.

Wow this is horrible! How can anyone have the heart to hurt an animal that is typically so loyal and affectionate with humans. This guy deserves the maximum penalty for his crime.

It was a sad news. The dog does nothing wrong to him and does not deserve such cruelty. Sadder is that there are lots of animal abusers who does not even penalized for it.
