I was just wondering whether anyone's dog likes watching television or listening to songs. I have seen videos online of dogs dancing in front of the television in time to the music and so on. Does anyone's dog do that? Do they have a favourite show or song? Our dogs never paid any attention to television or music at all.

My dogs watch cartoons. I actually leave the TV on for them when I go out if I am going to be gone long. It seems to keep the noise down and they actually watch it. My mother has a poodle that goes nuts whenever there is another dog on the TV so she is limited in what she can watch. I also have to have the radio on or music playing in the car otherwise there is a lot of "talking to each other" and on occasion a howling sing along.

My Homer completely ignores both music and television. The only one time when he barked at TV was when I was watching a movie in which an actress was holding a cat that meowed. Homer got so angry when he heard it! He was sure that the cat dared to get inside our house:p

Our black lab loves to watch the show cops. Alot of times they have the police dogs chasing down the bad guys. The police dogs are going wild and barking and growling. And when our Nashley hears this he goes crazy as well. He puts his nose right up to the T.V and just growls and barks right back at the police dogs. He has been doing this every Saturday night for the last five years. I almost think he recognizes the theme music to this show. Because he hears the song then will just sit there on the sofa and wait for the dogs to start barking.

Our dog is also not affected or interested with music or television unless it was a sound of a barking dog. :p
