    I see on the labels of pet food glycerin is one of the ingredients, what is this used for?

    It's used to bind water in the canned food and makes up a good proportion of the weight.
    It's important to buy well known brands that are not made in countries that would add glycerine not made from vegetables.
    I've stopped feeding canned dog food as well as feeding a grain free diet to Miska and she seems to have better digestion.
