May seem like an unusual claim for the pet insurance company but it was serious none the less. I'm glad the poor little dog survived the ordeal. He seems so sweet, and is quite lucky to still be alive.bb

How adorable! I don't think I've ever seen a dachshund-terrier mix before, omg is he cute. I also never knew that any pet insurance carriers offered awards like this each year, that's certainly a win-win for both the customers as well as good publicity for the carriers.

Bottom line, Peanut is alive and kicking. Hopefully she's learned her lesson to never mess with the skunk. Not only can they make you smell bad, they can really do some serious damage.

It's so good that she is all right now! I'm sure it was horrible for her. I didn't know about these awards either. Peanut really deserves one:)

At least poor, little Peanut is doing well, now, huh? My goodness. She definitely deserves that award! I've never dealt with a skunk attack, you know, but I'm sure that it's not pleasant - especially for such a small dog. Why, she couldn't have been much bigger than the skunk!

I'm glad Peanut is fine. When I first read the title, I thought the skunk did something to hurt her, which would've surprised me since I've always thought of skunks as shy creatures.
