I hear that rock sulphur added to the water supply, helps keep a dog cool during summer, and due to the cooling effect, also keeps their skin from getting red and sore during the hotter months. Has anyone ever tried putting rock sulphur in their dog's water?

I'm asking because I keep seeing results on Google saying WHAT it supposedly does, but I can't find the 'science' behind it. I'm vary wary of things that supposedly work without some kind of scientific explanation behind it, i.e; homeopathy, which is a load of old codswallop.

Does anyone have any information they could share about this? Thanks in advance.
