    I completely agree claudine, in all you said. I have never taken my own in to the vet, for their last breaths, rather, I ask someone to do it for me. Only reason I did so for Smokee was I had hoped they could so something for him. I believe I knew it was too late & when the vet returned & advised me, there was nothing he could do, i again broke down, as i have now as i write this - i miss him so, as well as all the others.....
