Super Bowl Dog is an actual rescue dog.

I just read an article that the little dog in this commercial was actually rescued from a kill shelter. How cool is it that he was rescued and is now famous!

 

I LOVED that commercial and kudos to budweiser for promoting rescue!

 

Yup good to promote the rescue for dogs.
That was a very smart and cute dog and the commercial was so entertaining.

 

I know that little guy is not real pretty and probably would not have found a home other wise. I think it's very cool of who ever who adopted him to train him to do this.

I think that other dog is Benji isn't it? I remember hearing he was a rescue dog.

 

Yes, that's Benji alright. Wait, it could have been Benjean, his daughter. Benjean looks very much like Benji except for some minor coloration differences which the make-up people took care of very easily.

Benji was a rescue dog. He was acclaimed by his trainers and his human co-stars to be a very intelligent dog. If you have watched any of his movies, you would have definitely noticed that he could get his message across without even saying a word. His eyes and expressions spoke volumes.
